Welcome to Echoes of Adventures! We’re Tim and Brandy, a couple of young empty nesters and lifelong explorers passionate about travel, storytelling, and making life’s journeys a little less stressful and a lot more joyful.
As a professional communicator (Tim here), I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling to connect people, ease stress, and spark inspiration. Brandy and I see travel as one of life’s greatest stories—each trip filled with characters, surprises, and unforgettable moments. Our mission is simple: to share the joy of travel with others and offer tips to make your adventures easier, more carefree, and just plain fun.
Our Story
Travel has always been part of our lives. Growing up in different parts of Tennessee—me in East Tennessee and Brandy in Middle Tennessee—our families shared a love for the beach, often vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. After we started dating and eventually married, it was only natural that we returned to the place that connected our childhood memories.
From beach getaways, we discovered cruising—a perfect family vacation filled with endless activities, diverse cuisine, and exciting destinations. Cruising opened our eyes to the beauty of different cultures and the diversity of the world, inspiring us to venture into international travel. Europe quickly became a favorite, with its rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible food.
Now, with our daughter Brooke stationed in Italy with the Air Force and our son Tyler’s love for the UK (and dreams of castles), we have even more excuses to cross the pond and explore!

At Echoes of Adventures, we’ll share stories of where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how you can get there too. For now, our focus is on cruising and international travel, but we’re excited to share East Tennessee adventures in the future.

We’re planners when we need to be, but once we arrive, we let our whims guide us. Our adventures are about sampling local food, soaking in history and culture, and, of course, savoring the beauty of every destination.
